Wasn't sure where to start this thread, so here goes I have never done any decal printing, but I picked up some "clear" decal printer paper for the ink-jet printer I have. It says on the package that ink-jets won't print white, so use white paper. Ok, I never gave it a thought, but I can see issues with clear and white printer sheets, depending on what I want to print. Any thought on this guys, I'm thinking I need to order white sheets as well. Cheers, Ski.

I'm thinking any white shading or lettering wouldn't show up on the clear decal paper. But, it seems to me that if you used white paper, any lettering or shapes would need an outline that you would have to trim to. This is just me doing some late night thinking, as I've never tried printing any decals.

As Bucky said you have to trim right to the edges of the white paper... it's a real pain in the rear!

Another alternative for decals with white along with color: Make stencils to paint the white directly on the model; then apply the decal (that was printed on clear paper) over it. I've known a number of guys on other Forums who've done that.

Got a request from a close family friend to build an egg beater of all things, can ya believe it? H-34, Marines, the Nam.
