Cheers Boss π
Biggest difference is actually the flash arrestor on the end of the barrel. π₯Έ
The 38(t) Flak is coming along nicely btw, got the lower hull and most of the chassis assembled, just letting the glue set up before adding the wheels and link/length tracks. π€
There's a rudimentary interior for the driver and transmission compartment, I fitted it but had (and have) no intention of doing anything else with it. Not much would be seen of it even with the hatches open, which is not something I would normally do in any case. π€―π
Should have the wheels, tracks and the upper hull fitted by close of play tonight, will post some happy snaps when that stage is reached. π
Best to all GtM ππ

That'll do for the moment, going to kick back, eat some dinner and crash in front of the tube π
Tomorrow I'll git the gun, gun platform and vehicle tools and the upper hull shields dun and that'll be this one to the paint shop (after a quick snip (π) for the same reason as the flak half track previously.... π₯Έ
Wot's next ? Dunno, I'll letchas know when I get to it ! π€π

Trust you ππ
Leaving that one alone, I've not been well lately, so things have slowed down a tad, its all but ready for the paintshop now, I've pre-painted the internal bits and snipped and replaced the gun barrel (ouch ! π³π€«). Just got to assemble the empty case catching cage and fit its mesh bits and then attach it to the gun and it'll be ready for the rest of its paint shortly. It can then join the other two in the paint shop... π€π
Still dunno wot's next... π€ Best GtM ππ

That looks good! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well! My son's family have been fighting the flu for a week now... not fun!!!

Its not the flu, more like spring pollens triggering my asthma,π happens every year in October usually, bit late this year because of all the rain we've been having hereabouts ππ€
Anyways, it usually lasts 3-4 weeks, not much I can do but stay inside and take it easy, glue/paint fumes don't really help when my asthma is active either, can sometimes wait til evening and (provided the wind drops), get on with muddlin' at night. That's what I've been doing lately. π
Have a feeling I may return to the Meng Panther A next, it'll be finished as one of those oft rumoured late A's that didn't get Zimmerited. π€

Edit: It won't be the Meng Panther, it'll be either Tamiya's or ICM's new Marder - the Panther can wait a little tad longer - there's a somewhat nefarious plan to do with big cats afoot... ππ€π€«

Nah... πΌ
Going to play with it (read bash it about), a bit first, before delivering the coup de gras...in true cat-like fashion..
If I'm right, there's a bit of correction needed, judging from photographs, it looks like Tamiya based their kit on the example preserved in the French Army museum at Samur, which for some reason, has its tracks on back to front (ie reversed). Tamiya have moulded the kits tracks as link and length, with inbuilt sag across the top length of track, there's also a peg on top of one of the idlers, which locates into a hole under the pre-sagged length of track in that location, as a guide to fitting the track and getting the sags between the wheels right. may be a breeze to fix, but then again it could be an utter (vile language inducing) and right royal PAIN ππ€―π€¬ππ€«
We'll see how it goeth

Chassis complete... no pain thus far encountered... π Tracks next (after lunch, π a coffee or three and a burp, π³ in that order and no other)π€«
Hoping the next stage adding the reversed track sections (see above post of mine) doesn't get painful... we'll see...π€π

Cheers , π Somebody pass Mustang the sooperdooper glue debonder please, just in case he managed to glue his eyes to his set (ππ)
Just did one side experimentally, very easy, pain factor zero...ππ
Here we go...
(Above) Piece of track in foreground aligned as per Tamiya instructions and Samur preserved vehicle, track on vehicle reversed, and aligned correctly, wide end of link toward sprocket (forward) .π₯Έ
Even the pre-sagged top run fits nicely, without modification and no need to remove the moulded track locating peg atop the first large overhead idlerπ₯Έ
That was dead easy, will take about 10 mins to do the other side ! π

Its a leetle bit further along now, I added a few more bits to it last night, its almost at the stage where I'll paint the internal bits of the fighting compartment before I get onto the rest of the assembly π
