I'm fine now -til next time π
Nasty stuff, I can have days where I awake full of flu, with all the symptoms, but its gone by midday, no sign of it, then again, I can be fine in the morning but beset by the onset of the symptoms in the afternoon and by the time I retire for the night, all China's got the plague, but next morning, there's no sign of it whatever... π³ immensly frustrating and horribly confusing, but its the nature of the beast. Then I get the odd instance where I wake up with flu and it doesnt't go away, which is a horrible way to spend a weekend. Oh Well... All I can do is stay abed and wait it out at such times. π€―π€§
The paint slinging all happened this morning, I'll get on with the Marder shortly, its pretty well dry now (the joys of using Tamiya Acryls thinned with Isopropyl Alchohol ! )ππ΅πΆ I'll start hairy sticking the rest tonight with any luck π€

Meanwhile back at the Marder....π€
She's got a fully stowed interior, (needs a few more paint touches) π
And a fair bit more has been added as well, all we need now is the gun and its shield to be construction completeπ₯Έ
I'll git back onto her tonight, after me dinner, til then the glue can get solid etc; and I'll start working on the other 3, but first -Lunch , ππππππ

Eegads now look wot I dun ! ππ
I sat down, intending to fire up the airbrush and get the basic camo colour on the Marder's gun and before I really knew what I was doing...
It needs a tadge of neatening up, but she's well on the way, next stop for her is hairy stick work on the roadwheels and tracks, followed by decals.
That makes 3 at the stage of hairy stick stuff before decalling... I did say I was going to stop working on more than one at once, but I don't recall saying when I was going to stop that ! ππ€π€«
Watch out for foider updates in a few hours...π

Just dumped a pile of spares from recently assembled kits in the bin (no photos of that, don't want to cause any crying or heart attacks) π, not keeping anything that "might come in handy one day" because it never does π, keeping stuff that will be useful, spare track links, roadwheels gun barrels etc; and bits of straight sprue from Dragon and Tamiya kits, for stretching purposes (aerials etc;) π
THAT needed to be dun, before the sheer number of the things came down on me avalanche style ! π€―π€¬
Will get on with the Half-Track and SIG-33B before sundown, photos later after me dinner (and sundown!) π€ππ΅πΆ

Howzabout 72nd Armour and Aircraft ? π€
I've dabbled in both from time to time, have a look in the Completed Armour and Completed Aircraft Forums, posted under my old Username of "Obscurity"
There's one ship in the Completed ships Forum too, my Aoshima 1/700 HMS Exeter, its construction is detailed in my 2020 Thread in this (Factory Builders Forum. π€«π
I'm going to post 6 72nd aircraft I've recently finished -all biplanes, rigged with stretched sprue, which I've been playing about with on and off, for the last few months, just to see if I still could see to rig them π. Lots of fiddlin' and cussing involved !π€―π€¬ I've decided that I can still do 72nds, but not biplanes, So Roden's Gothas are safe from my depradations ! I did have a faint hope of getting another G-III and G-IV to replace the pair I scrapped before my house move, they'd never have survived the move in one piece π I'll sling some photos of that pair (and a few others I've scrapped before the move) π in this thread shortly, as soon as I find and scan them.

Ok Folks, Gotha Time !
Roden's 72nd Gotha G-III as one based in the Balkans
Roden Gotha G-IV in the colours/markings of one in which Ernst Brandenberg led the first bombing raid on London in the Blitz of 1917
This pair weren't painful, just needed some care to be exercised in construction, owing to scale thickness struts, which tended to snap, no matter how careful one was in removing them from the sprues π. Having each wing in 8 pieces (4 outer wing halves, two centre section halves and seperate aelerons each side) made things harder π€―, plus there was dihedral from the centre to outer section joins on both wings π€¬ (easily accomplished as it turned out, by putting a match stick under the outer wing tips whilst the glue on the joins was setting up) π€«ππΆπ΅

Cheers Guys π
They were scrapped because I had about 2,500 72nd Aircraft in my collection at the time and the box they (and a good part of my Fokker and Albatros collection), were in fell 10 feet to a concrete floor (landing upside down), whilst I was retrieving boxes from their storage location on shelves between the rafters of my garage before I moved. When a box of WWI aircraft does that on you, its not even worth the heartbreak of opening the box (as I did) to see what's survived (a collection of shattered struts amongst a tangle of wheels, wing and fuselage pieces and finely stretched sprue rigging wires) ππ€―π€¬ The language that engendered was vile, but excuseable (just ! π€«π). The box came down as I was atop a ladder, getting another box down to investigate its contents, when the WWI box hurtled past me to its doom.
Oh well, I still have the photos and the memories, if not the eyes (inoperable cararacts in both), to do the rigging and strut alignment tasks involved in WWI aircraft construction. Never mind, live and learn, if anything, I'm better for the experience, at least I've built the things and can prove it photographically. π
Onwards and whichever way seems to be up ! π

Hi Folks
35th SiG 33B and Flak half-track have been decalled (decal setting solution drying atmo) π
I've decided to play with some Seventy-Twoths til xmas, just for a bitta fun, so the ICM Me 109 E has been exhumed from the drawer of stasis it was sitting in and will be continued with shortly, it needs its dark green splinter camo next up, followed by a spritz of light blue 65, after which it'll be decal and small details time
Just for the heck of it, I started a Misterkit Me-109 G-5 yesterday, it'll cop some paint this afternoon...π
As will a Misterkit FW-190 A-7, started today, after its copped a modicum of filler (Tamiya blue) and a tadge of sanding.ππΆπ΅
That's where things are at at the Gomez Works to date π
Best G ππ
