As was pointed out last month in the comments, please watch those backgrounds for your build! You want to showcase your model in the best possible way to get the win!!! Good luck to all of you and lets have a really tough to judge contest again!!!

You said have fun and fun I had with your entry Joe, it's a cracking toon dio. Btw a decent background for an entry in the Model Of The Month can and will make a big difference to show a finished model. I like to use the white backside of a piece of wallpaper.

Maybe an idea, to organize a group build in the future, a suitable display to show cars, tanks...

I love that build ICON. I grew up in Pismo Beach, CA and a dune buggy was my first car. It wasn't as cool as yours sadly. No doors, No roof and No power but at the time girls really liked it and that's all that mattered. Thanks for entering it hope you win it.

Nice entries so far. I got mine in, but with that MRAP, I don't see any chance for it. Still, it's great to get it entered.
Guy, I like the idea of that Group Build. I've always wanted to do a photo backdrop of an airfield for my finished aircraft; a motor pool for my finished armor, and a shipyard for my smaller ships. Of course, finding a place to put them all is already a huge challenge.

I like the idea of an airfield because you can do something other than a plane like a support vehicle if planes aren't your thing. Very cool. Give me scale, era and location and I'm on it. Can you tell I'm a bit excited about this? LOL

I can see that indeed Jon. I think scale should be left open as most here build in different scale. It should be a pretty wide range of possibilities.

My first job was at The Shore Cliff Restaurant. On my first day I was late because I got my dune buggy stuck in the dunes. I even got married there.

No I did not know that one. Thanks for the info. I do know they filmed a lot of the movie Dune there.

Excellent information Bruce, I've seen the Airfix one but have not been able to get one. The Luftwaffe one is new to me. I just need to get the backdrop that would go in back of those.
