One thing I promised myself that when I started this project that being patient was the key. Little did I know it would be tested so much. Anyway Ghostbusters ECTO-1 is back at with some aftermarket upgrades.

The first upgrade iis what they call a Power Pack from Scaled Modz. What this does is replace the AAA battery system with a AC/DC in wall power. What this does is removes the need to replace batteries and in this case is a big deal because they are located in the fuel tank which are not easy to get to. The second and most beneficial is the unit allows for extra lights and any other power options. 

The other upgrade is replacing some of the less than desirable items created by the factory such as the radio on the dash and heater unit.

As you can see in the photos the main body has arrived along with all the electrical wiring. I made some major changes to the electronics in the back adding lights, buttons, knobs and switches.

At least it's big enough to see all that stuff!

Thank you. Yes lots of wires but I am adding twice as much so half my mess. LOL. Its really starting to get fun now. We have our own ECTO1 Builders forum and someone just shared a site with every inch of the original ECTO in photos. I've been rebuilding everything. With proper reference I can build it.

More progress on the ECTO-1

1. The body now has a roof and a door. The front grill and lights and finally installed. This hood and front bumper section was in the first pack of the build so I have been storing them for over a year. Its good to see it attached. I have begun some of the weathering. More of a test really. I have only one door installed because I just got info that its wrong and a new correct on is being sent 

2. I received the aftermarket parts from Mike Lane. Although costly its very high quality. I really like the carpets and battery box. The logos will go on the doors when all of them are installed.

3. I completed a ton of mods including turn signal and drive levers, I built a carb for the engine even though you can't see it and LED lights which you can't see but trust me they are there. Over 20 so far and growing.
