"Standing Watch"

I did this build just before covid hit. I remember this because it was suppose to go to a contest in Seattle but like everything else it was cancelled. For this dio I really wanted to focus on the extreme conditions the soldiers are in. The model is 1/16 scale. I did include the build pics in case you are interested in my somewhat crazy process. This kit also market the very first lights on one of my models. I was surprised how easy it was to do.

No I do not paint my finger nails.. I really need to start wearing gloves.


The cut foam is there to reduce the amount of sculpt-a-mold I need to create the deep ruts.

I have to say though, that soldier does look a little bit clean given how much mud is everywhere. I do love the five o'clock shadow you gave him! Exceptional work!

I had this one while having breakfast and it was the best breakfast I had in 2021 so far. Top weathering, fantastic setting, beautiful gi figure.
