...it doesn't mean I don't like your post. I've been a member of another model forum for going on ten years that does not or ever had a "like" button, at least that I'm aware of  . I am just not used to marking posts with likes. I usually think about it later but there are times I think it may have been too long since a post was put up. I am on another forum with a like button and I forget about it there too. I wanted to mention it as I doubt many really pay much attention to them. I just didn't want to offend anyone. |

No offense taken,but it cuts both ways too,you can't feel slighted if you don't get likes for your builds that you post.
When someone posts their work,some sort of acknowledgement whether complimentary or constructive it encourages participation.The like is just the minimum.No feedback of any kind can be discouraging,mods do a great job if this.

I post comments on a fair amount of builds or other topics. Those are the posts I am referring to not adding a "like" to. I have never put a "like" on a post I did not comment on.
If I don't get a like on a post it really doesn't bother me. I'm gotten likes for post that didn't seem they should get one.
The discouragement is understandable on a post that gets no feedback. To me that is a different subject and, yes, the Mods do do a good job in that department.

Gee, never thought about this, but I always forget there's a like button. I don't do spacebook or myface so I'm not looking for that button on a regular basis, and only one site I visit regularly uses the like button for preliminary voting, (PF), so I recon I'm late for supper again, HA!
I need to get out mroe often, lol.

Another little tidbit, not everyone might know, is that when it says "JCON, Bucky, and 3 more like this"
If you click on to the "3 more like this" it will tell you who they are.
I just learned this a couple months ago, myself.
(no offense meant, if everyone already knows this)

Yeah, I agree with everyone here. I most of the time forget that is a like button because it's at the top of the post. When someone posts a string of pics, it's hard to remember to go up and click the "like" button. I'm on the Missing Lynx Braille Scale Forums and they have theirs on the bottom so I use it quite a bit there.
