I am getting this one ready for a nation art show/competition at the VA in Spokane. The show is being held at the VA Spokane on the 14th of May form 12pm to 4pm. Its being held outside so pray there is no rain.
I built this kit last year and it has to been to date the most fabrication I have ever done on a kit. I had my eye one this kit for some time after seeing one built up at the IPMS in Seattle. This kit is NOT cheap so you could only imagine my reaction when I saw the kit did not have an engine. What??? That much money and no engine??? I almost sent it back but I felt that would admit defeat so here is a small list of what was done"
1. Added an engine for a 1980's Peter-Built kit. This took a ton of fabrication to get the engine to appear like it belonged there.
2. I had all the appropriate radio gear and coms 3d printed in resin.
3. Seatbelt harness scratch built.
4. 13 LED lights running off 2 battery packs.
5. Scratch built accessories, antenna array and wiring
6. Custom built display base.
