Looks quite suitably grimy and ill-kept. For a snap-fit model, there's an impressive level of detail here and very little that gives away the fact that it is in fact a snap-fit kit. Excellent progress!

Thanks gents Somehow I always enjoy trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear. Preversley enough, I'm enjoying gussying this one up. More stuff done As always the fuel tanks needed help. The short one is a reworked AMT leftover The weatherguard for the top of the air cleaner looked stupid so I scratched another The stacks needed modification to clear the dump body cab protector I hid the snap tite evidence behind a couple of doodads
May have this one done soon unless the sun and PD's come out
Regards, Mark

Thank you kindly fellow model blokes The good-all's left to do are the mirrors. Revell unlike AMT gives you nice, thin to scale mirror brackest but they are incomplete so I made up a jig to make the necessary additions more foolproof The bad-it seems that Revell is incapable of molding even a snap tite kit that fits well. I was very disappointed when I saw this Too late now guess it's gonna be open hood only &^$@*&^ Next time perhaps Regards, Mark

And it's THE END Sooo, what have I done? Note the box art showing what it's supposed to be in the beginning. There is about six feet of various size wire and solder in there, transmission replaced, front brake cans added, mirrors improved, scratched windows/windsheild, AMT tires and rims adapted 'cause the kit ones were awful, modified stacks and fuel tanks, air cleaner mod, and a grafted on AMT 15 yard dump body. I think that's all. I am closing down shop for awhile as my work/display room needs a good purge and re-arrangement, should not take too long. Once that's done I'm not sure what I'll do next, it may be a tank or I may start this AMT seems awful proud of this kit. I have obtained excellent reference pictures and I'd guess about 15 feet of wire and solder will be needed to properly detail an accurate model of this vehicle. I must say I'm kind of intrigued by it Regards, Mark

Gorgeous dump truck, Mark! It deserves to be displayed with the hood tilted open.

Thank you all for coming on the ride and your kind comments gents. Other than being a bit unhappy about the hood fit I am quite pleased with the way this turned out.
Oz I know the sneak route
