Lovely terrain! We've vacationed a lot in BC and Alberta, but never crossed the border up in your neck of the woods, Joe. Need to make a note of that route for a future trip. We're hoping to get across the border in September, but further east. Before the pandemic, we had a trip planned to Glacier National Park and Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta for last September. When we had to cancel that, we re-booked everything for this coming September. We're hoping that our age group can get vaccinated by midsummer and that tourist travel across the border will be open by then.

We do too. Calgary, Edmonton, Drumheller, Jasper, Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise and Banff. Done that and will do it again. Rogers Pass through Revelstoke and southwards, crossing the lakes on ferries before going west to Vancouver. Check. Hope through Fraser River Canyon to Lillooet (great wines there at Fort Berens Winery), on through Williams Lake, Quesnel, and Prince George then west on the Yellowhead Highway to Prince Rupert and the inside passage Ferry to Vancouver Island...done that, the BC Grand Tour. Wineries around Kelowna and Penticton. Victoria & Vancouver island. We've done all that on various trips over the last 35 years and have many great memories (and some not quite so great). Our C230 was brand new 21 years ago when we did a trip through Crowsnest Pass to Calgary & Drumheller, then west through Banff & Revelstoke to Kelowna and eventually Vancouver. If our Glacier trip comes off as planned, this will be our last big trip with that car before (probably) passing it on to our nephews who want to convert it to manual transmission which was never available in North America. The C230 has taken us to most of those places listed, with our SLK being the ride for a few of them. We'll be ordering a new plug-in hybrid C--Class this fall, if Daimler's announced schedule is to be believed.

Cool pictures Joe, they reminded me of the time I spent in Jasper on R&R in the army. I also spent my free time in Jasper taking out mountain bike groups, absolutely loved it
