Tell us more, please! What scale, what kit(s), what other materials & techniques? It certainly looks like a plausible conversion that could have been accomplished full-scale by VW or a talented enthusiast owner.

It's 1/72 Academy Ground Series Set 1, it included a US Jeep and Kettenkraftrad which are also built and awaiting paint. I got the inspiration from a picture I found of such a vehicle which was actually built as a one off, it isn't an exact copy but the idea is there. I don't generally do conversions generally building OOB so materials were scarce. The panels were made from the lid of a plastic butter tub and the ribs out of copper wire,the canopy is green stuff. I like seeing efforts like this where a modeler stretches their skills and utilizes less common materials. It's not all about spending the most money on branded products. |
