Will try to be brief. Have been back in to modelling since the mid 70's. Started with Napoleonic and historical figures so before the internet my only outside source of military miniatures hobby info was MILITARY MODELLING magazine, times have changed. Still have tons of figures and Flats to paint. Car models had always enticed me but the chrome parts in the box just said TOY. No,to toys, I had spent a lot of time teaching myself to paint figures so they looked human. Then along came Alclad chrome lacquer, game changer, now a scale car can look like a real car, no more toy parts. I like to put figures with my car builds if possible and some base work. Really ? what drives a car ? people of course, this has become a pet peeve of mine along with 1959 Cadillac models, more on that another time. Besides serious builds, I like the outrageous stuff like Rat Fink, Deals Wheels, Silly Surfers and Frantics and Yellow Submarine, etc. Hope to post these again on this forum.
