Still working on this piece for my Tommyswar figure(s) apart from dirtying the trench wall any tips on what else to them, a friend has given me the Welsh wording for 'To the front' to make a sign to put up as this will be for my Welsh figures,I'll probably put one in English too.

Jed it looks very good already. I'd go for more dust washes and splattered dirt next to the flooring. You can also alter the brown of the wooden planks by, for example, applying greyish shades to them here and there. Crazy idea : a flowering poppy that worked his way between two planks?

It looks very good! I really like the sand bags. Did you make them?
I do agree with AG that the boards could use some different colors. The wood just looks a little to new and perfect. I would guess they were using any kind of wood they could get there hands on at the time to build them.
I don't know how you're going to use this piece. But maybe a stick or peg in the wall where guys could hang up a helmet or rifle. I've seen pictures with benches made down low so guys could sit up off the ground.

Thanks Sty, this was actually made for me but I have added to the woodwork, the sand bags are milliput. I have some barbed wire pickets to add which I have made from copper wire which if used will be left lying against the wall and possibly some communications cable going along the wall on some small brackets. Not to sure. Thanks for looking

It's a great looking display base, Jed. Just my opinion, but it seems that the sand bags might have intermittent wet and dry spots on them. Also, since it's a trench, the boards holding back the earth might have some seepage going on between the boards.
