I just found an MPC '66 Vette kit on the web that is indeed molded in grey. Still pondering about the hood, tho. Are ya gonna rebuild this one?
ADDITIONAL INFO: I also ran across an AMT '66 Vette kit that was molded in white.

It is an old kit Bruce. Yes Bucky, I do plan to rebuild it. I may try polishing out the blue to see if it looks good. If not I'll repaint it. I will strip the paint from the chassis and interior. I've since found that these MPC kits were molded in grey. The hood is a modified AMT part. It's from a few different AMT kits, pic is one. The hole was filled in and the "vents" were sanded down. It was good craftsmanship IMO.

I figured it was an AMT hood... my 63 AMT was white plastic as well...
