Yeah - finally a new build.
MPC 65 Corvette body and internal tub - but with the tubbed wheel wells from the .... AMT Ratpacker chassis!.
Its a good fit and looks better - after I add a bit more detail - than the stock mpc chassis.
Actually a lot of the chassis components have suffered from the old vinyl tyre melting thing. Both front and rear windscreens and some other small parts are damaged beyond etc...
So I am going with the AMT chassis.
The body fortunately is perfect and is easily the best part of the kit - a lovely moulding and really thick as befitting something moulded back in the mid sixties.
Gonna be a Chevy 409 block - as I understand the rules you could run another engine under gasser rules as long as it was same manufacturer. Injected - no engine set back.
Colour is going to be black pearl with a silver assymetric daytona strip running along thre top of the body.
No bumpers - bit of a rolled pan front and rear - open radiator. Moon tank visible through it. Well thats the plan!!!
Got some really nice Radirs for the rear and some halibrands for the front skinnies.
