I've been lax in my model building as I've been spending a considerable amount of time with my other interest in airbrushes. I picked up this lot of Badger airbrushes a couple weeks ago for a really decent price. The seller was show-casing the two blue handled ones. The one on the left is a single action model 200 and the one on the right a double action 150. What caught my eye was the chrome one on the left of the blue needle card. It's a model 155 Anthem. When they got here I found them all filthy. There was dried black paint in all of them and the Anthem seemed to have been soaked in it. I cleaned them up and tested them. I needed to get some parts. I ended up placing two orders with a company I deal with that has good prices on Badger parts as I didn't get all I needed the first time. I bought all that is in the third pic. This fixed 4 airbrushes and gave me half of another. I used to paint T-shirts and such with water base so I always used a separate airbrush. I sold my Paasce VL that I had been using a couple years ago. I posted a pic of the Paasche Talon that I recently got and I bought the Badger 105 Patriot shell as it uses the same internals as the Anthem. I can now get used to the gravity feed. If I can’t, I’ll switch it back.

That rocks Jim! I also use a badger 150 for most of my airbrushing. I won it in a painting contest at a game convention some years back. I also use a Badger Sotar 20/20 for all my fine airbrushing.

You got a good price on the 150 Mark . Congratulations on winning it. Cleaning the 150 has always frustrated me trying to get the rocker seated right. They are based on the old T&C, which Badger bought, and they were just as frustrating. Same song, different band. From what I've heard and read the Sotar 20/20 is a good airbrush. I've never seen one much less tried one. The Anthem came with the Super Detail head. There wasn't a detail tip in the lot and the one detail needle I got was bent. The detail needle has a black ball end. It's the one on the bottom right in the 3rd pic. The detail tips are tapered. I got two which are in the same pic, top left. The supplied tip/needle is general purpose, similar to a number 3 I believe. I hope to be able to do both with the same brush. BTW, If you click on my pics they do get a little bit larger. I have a weird work schedule so I won't probably get around to counting them til Saturday. May not do much other posting here either.

Good grab on those! So...how many airbrushes do you have, now? I took a little time this morning before work Bucky. I think I counted them all but...I may be wrong. If I missed any I'll update the number. As I write this I have 17 airbrushes. 6 single action and 11 double. I also have a Paasche Flow Pencil (1/64 tip), Badger model 250 spray gun and a Badger 260 abrasive gun.

Sounds nice, Jim! What is a Flow Pencil? It's a striping tool Bucky. Seems it has two learning curves. One to know the paint consistency at which it will flow. Too thin and it will run. Too thick it won't flow. And then learning how to lay down even stripes. I haven' tried it yet. I will at some point. I would like to find the optional pressure cup assembly as I think that would aid in consistent lines better?!? Mine only came with the one head assembly. I'm keeping an eye out for the others but it's NBD right now. www.paascheairbrush.com/wp-content/uploads/FP-1_32_-Flow-Pencil.pdf

Great pick up Joe. The rust effects kit look like a good thing to have. The book too, I'm not advanced to that stage yet.
I just spent a bunch of time on his site. He offers some outstanding stuff. Good prices too. I'll probably order some things. May be a while as that seems to be a "you better get all you want the first time" kind of place. I'd need to make a list. Then only my budget will be a hindrance.

I just buy enough for one or two projects at a time and go back when I have a bit more money... some of his products are available over here with different suppliers but I find I get better service straight from him in Spain! Now that I started that book tonight and will be expanding my weathering products from him for sure!!! It is a must have book for me for teaching weathering techniques easily! Pricy book but I am happy with it!
