Thanks guys! DPNM, Jed, I agree; I do have a great nephew. That flag is truly a treasure.

This came yesterday. I had looked at the one Joe had gotten and started to do some research. I've seen a few that piqued my interest. I looked at quite a few brands/models. This one does have all but one of the features I was looking for, which in reality I probably don't "need" anyway. I believe this is only the second airbrush I've purchased new. The first was my original Binks Wren B that I bought in the 70s. I've probably owned close to a hundred of them over the years. I didn't get the nice wood box as Joe's has. The place I purchased it from did not show the wood box kit as a stock item. Even still I have enough walnut wood that I can make my own if I choose to. And I thought the price I paid was very reasonable. And no, I haven't opened it yet. Probably do that Monday or Tuesday.

Sweet! Love the airbrush. I can't wait until my two return from being repaired.

Do you have two Talon's Mark? I'm curious as to what repairs they may have needed.

Actually no, I should have been a bit more clear. I have two airbrushes being repaired; one is a Badger 150 and the other an Iwata Neo. I've heard that Talons are great brushes though; it's probably the only Paasche brush I'd ever buy. I have always had trouble with their external mix airbrushes.
Note: I just got word that they are both ready. I'll be picking them up in another day or so.

Thank you for the clarification Mark. I've had a number of 150s and a Neo. Never used them. Being more or less a clone of the Thayer & Chandler model A, and owning some, I know that trying to reassemble the 150 has caused me much consternation. The hard part is trying to get the trigger lever in the right place for reassembly.
The Talon looks to be a good airbrush. This kit was the most complete kit I had found. It should do well for what I need. Time and practice will tell. I have to get used to the gravity feed cup on top. All I've used are the bottom feed.

I enjoy my Talon also. No repairs yet. That's good to know Bruce. I thought it was you who used one. What do you use it for? I'd like to know the needle/nozzle combination you use.

Brought my spray booth and compressor inside today so should be learning the Talon real soon... it has 3 needles with tips and caps plus wide fan air cap!

Thank you again Bruce. I just compared the two. Quite a few parts are shared between them, some different. The air atomization control valve on yours is the one feature I was looking for but the Talon doesn't have. Not sure I need it, just think it may help to make minor air adjustments instead of changing the air hose regulated pressure. Call me lazy. I may look into one down the road. Maybe I shoulda done a bit more research Do you do a lot of detail work with it? What medium do you spray? Do you use a different AB for larger areas? Sorry to "Badger" you with so many questions especially since we are talking Paasche. I saw your post above after I posted this. I watched both videos. Very helpful. Thank you for putting them on.

The air atomization feature is never used, by me and it has no appreciable difference in what I use it for. I guess if you were to do a lot of Minis, it might. My Badger is a work horse for getting volume down, but not so much for smaller detail work. The comparison videos are your best bet. I'm no expert. I have several different brands of paint and they require different mix ratios, as well as solvents or water. So it depends on what I'm trying to accomplish. Sometimes, I have to try a couple options, to see what works best for me.

Wow, I just got caught up with everyone's scores they got while I was on vacation. Paul, I cannot wait to see you start that Titanic. The model sure lives up to it's name! Okay, now that I am back and able to finally log in, here is what I got for Christmas. Some of this is stuff I got from my sister but most is what I got for myself. Then I also got something from my nephew that I'd been waiting for since August... That's all I got for this year at Christmas. I got quite a bit to keep me going for awhile anyway. The Q-Ship and AH-56 I got for a Group Build on another Forums that is themed "Kits released before 1972". Or Ancient Kits as I like to call it. Stay tuned, there's more to see later. Right now I have to go open a new Maddog Manufacturing Thread for 2021.... Did you mix up your forum posts Mark? Who is Paul and what Titanic? Enquiring minds want to know???

My apologies Joe; I copied that post from another Forums. I forgot to leave that part out.
Paul is a great modeler on another boards who recently got a 1/200 scale Titanic kit that is massively detailed with enough plastic to roast a small animal. It is going to be amazing watching him build it once he gets started on it.
Once again, I apologize, I'll try to be more careful with my posts from now on. Since I frequent about five different Forums, I tend to slip occasionally, despite my best efforts.
