Can anybody tell me if this putty acts like an adhesive? I've a 90mm resin figure with some rather large gaps and I intend to use this putty to put on one part to be squeezed out when I put the two together as I think it will give me a better fit, will it hold the two together? Thanks in advance.

I don't know unfortunately... I always used super glue on resin...

Thanks Joe, I'm hoping when dry I can pull the two pieces apart and then use super glue, I'm not sure about gluing and then filling the gap as I'm not sure how much surface contact I will get.

Hey Jed, I did that exact thing with my current Arnhem figures, works great. It helps with adhesion, but use super glue as well, it's not a stand alone fix. By putting Testor's tube putty in all the joints I was able to squeeze out the excess and clean up any gaps instantly. Saves on having to apply putty later making for a much cleaner joint, IMHO. Hope this helps

Very interesting
On model cars the issue with putty adhesion pertains to doing body work , on flatter areas, so I don't use putty much, I use Zap a Gap, and accelerator. But when I'm not using a two part putty, and do use a single stage, something like Green or white Squadron, or the white Testors, I always mix in some Testors liquid cement. I just bought a tube of the Tamiya white putty, I haven't tried yet. I use such little putty it dries up, and when I need a little, I'm at the mercy of what the shop has.
Of Course you guys' figures are a whole other animal, your not dealing with flatter surface. So that tip of SKIs sure sounds good, I will try that.

Putty should only be used to fill slight gaps, because, over time, it may crack or warp. The best way is to fill with styrene, as much as possible, then use putty or fillers like epoxy, baking soda and super glue.

In the past I have relied on milliput but I thought I would give green stuff ago as it gets a lot of mentions
