Thought I'd do this for a quick build. Firing base was done in a few hours. Would have been quicker but there was quite a bit of clean up to do on it.

Thanks Mark! I actually finished the construction on Saturday. Was going to try and get primer on Sunday but rain put an end to that. Still haven't got the primer on but am hoping sometime this week. This is truly a weekend kit and would work out real good for one of those 48hr group builds. Fit of the main body of mine was terribly warped but I did get it in some sort of shape.

That is a whole lot of rocket John. It looks very interesting to me as one of them came down in the village I live in.

Whoa, that must have done some major damage to your village at the time!!! Luckily it came down in a field. The surrounding farmhouses however were cracked open like coconuts. Many V1's exploded after being hit by the allied anti aircraft troops. Here in Wildert an American AA battery was stationed from the end of '44 until May '45. The soldiers were housed in the boys school of the village and they were loved by the civilians. I can imagine that the local girls must have had a bad day when they left.

Dang it! Still haven't gotten a chance to sling some paint.
Guy, lucky is indeed the word that it missed your village.
From Wikipedia:
A scientific reconstruction carried out in 2010 demonstrated that the V-2 creates a crater 20 metres (66 feet) wide and 8 metres (26 feet) deep, ejecting approximately 3,000 tons of material into the air.
