(rant on)
So I was sitting here today, having a darn good one, when up on my e-mail pops TWO notifications from my credit union's credit card department. Both of them were for fraudulent transactions at some fitness club in California.
I immediately got on the phone to credit card services and after a suitable amount of time on hold, reported the fraud, confirmed I didn't make or authorize the charges, and got the credit card locked. Now I get to sit for about a week with no credit card until the new one arrives. Then, the equally fun task of updating all the automatic charges I have on that card.
The sad part is that I've only had this new card for about 6 months since the last card number was stolen. I sure hope this isn't a trend!

My BOA credit card actually texts me and asks me if a charge looks fraudulent or different, usually I tell them,no its me and there's no problem. One time it wasn't my charge and said it wasn't mine,so they cancelled it and sent me a new card in a couple of days.Thats all I had to do.
Sorry for your difficulty, it does test your patience dealing with companies.

OH! Don't misunderstand me. I have NO problem dealing with my credit union...they're the best.
I do wish nothing but the WORST for every individual on the face of the earth who steals CC numbers or makes phishing calls to steal money or financial information.

I had some charges on a card a few years back, when I contacted the card fraud group they weren't bothered, reimbursed me,new card and that was it,I wouldn't mind but i had tracked the fraud to a town myself very easily but it wasn't enough money for them to worry about!! £500 in Liberties London and £50 in a local town, I then kept getting Booklets from Liberties for over a year. And before anybody else says it What a liberty 😂😂😂
