I had to do it: Nearly OOB (in my world anyway) with the major adds being the Friuls and Meng road wheels and idlers. All of the brass used so far came with the kit, but I have a ton left over from the Tamiya build. And of course I'm adding weld beads where needed, one of my favorite things to do. I had thought to do it in Egyptian colors for the YKW, but that may not work as the kit is the Mod 1972, not sure if Egypt had those yet. I ordered two sets of Star decals for early and later T-62 and T-55 tanks, and I got two of the early sets. Blast!!!!

Busy at work (finally!) but a little time snatched here and there has the turret moving along. I used brass wire for the hand rails and the Verlinden snorkel tube which oddly enough was much better than the Trump part. The other brass is from the kit. IMG_3995 by Russel Baer, on Flickr Fit is pretty good, some flash and a couple of areas that were just ugly, but progress is progress.

I've got pics of the fully assembled model to post, but Flickr is down right now. I'd have to say that all in all, it's a pretty good kit. No major fit issues, mostly well molded with a minimum of flash, knock out pis marks hidden except for the 16 or so on the underside of each fender, and depending on who you listen to, pretty accurate too.

Finally (well, Flickr was probably fixed a few days ago, but we've been at the RV park....) IMG_4023 by Russel Baer, on Flickr IMG_4022 by Russel Baer, on Flickr I'm still looking at pics to see what I want to do with it, but right now it's looking like Syrian, around 1982, so it would need all the factory equipment as delivered from the Workers' Paradise, in Soviet green with a light sand disruptive pattern. Hmmm.....

Looking mighty fine Russ. One of my favorites from Trumpeter. Nice that it comes with the metal barrel. The only trouble I had with mine was the DShK was pretty fiddly.

Thanks all. Yup the MG was a test, no doubt. It's together, and on the shelf until it's ready to go on, don't want any parts flying off.
