After very little thought, my next build will be this:
The question is, why?
This primary reason is simple -- I want to build something fairly quickly and completely out of the box, without worrying about add-ons, aftermarket parts, or scratch-building. This kit fits the criteria almost perfectly. The only drawback is that it has individual track links and while I normal prefer these, on most Sherman builds rubber band style tracks are better.
I actually might have two of these kits (I'm honestly not sure), but the one I'll be building is unique. The kit...
1) Is in a Ziplock bag 2) Was bought for $5.00 about 12 years ago 3) Came without instructions (I had to find and print out a set) 4) Has VERY yellowed (possibly unusable) decals
Needless to say, I'm not going to be hyper-worried about accuracy or details on this one. I'm shooting for literally a 2 week build and maybe 2 more weeks of painting and weathering.
Anyway, tomorrow I'm busy, so I'm looking at kicking this off on the 3rd...

Sorry, Guys! It didn't take long to figure out that my $5.00 investment was spent for a bag of spare parts. Well, maybe not that bad as I think if I ever decide to build a diorama that includes a knocked out Firefly, I might be able to use what's good in this kit. Just on the first page of instructions (which don't match perfectly) I found 4 damaged parts -- only 2 of which might possibly be fixable.
So, I'm off to find a new "easy" project.

I don't have two of this kit, but I do have two of another Firefly kit...bad memory.

Had that same problem on my last few builds. Ended up costing me more time and money, than they were worth.
