I'm posting these two newest ones here since I don't see any Forums for real Space subjects. Today I finished two model rockets. This first one is the Convair Atlas rocket in 1/72 scale from Horizon Models: This second one is the Mercury Redstone rocket in 1/72 scale with Friendship 7 riding atop it. This is also from Horizon Models: That is all I have for now. Thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.

These are two great looking rockets! Decals look perfect, and paint looks spot on! Well done!

Your house must be filling up, with all these Massive Kits!

You need a pic with all your rockets together for scale.

Thanks Bucky! There are a few tiny blemishes so these aren't really perfect, but I do appreciate the compliments. They do look great on the shelf!
Thanks Marco! Yeah, I feel the same way seeing these.
Thanks Bruce! Yeah, with 1561 finished models, the house is definitely filling up! These rockets aren't all that big though; they only stand between 14 and 16 inches in height. Now, the A-400 and the An-124 on the other hand....
Thanks Joe! I wish I had the space to shoot a pic with my Saturn V, Space Shuttle with Boosters and these two rockets together. The first two are huge compared to these rockets and I have no space available to take a group pic. Maybe someday when Hobby Day can open up again I'll be able to bring them in and get a group shot.

Think you need a comma between "little" and "Bruce" in the above column Joe... 🤔
1561 ?, I had over 1700 built (1700th was a Matchbox Halifax, finished in Coastal Command colours and no, it did not survive the cull, because I have another one unbuilt)), finished years ago on the LEM ) before the cull pre the move up here (didn't have a car, did have a garage at that time !) Dunno how many I have now, the numbers do not interest me, never really did
Regards OB 😉

Thanks Bruce. Yeah, I feel the same way.
Joe, they ain't all little either, as you can see from my Maddog Manufacturing posts. Many "little" models are quite huge.
OB, I remember your huge collection way back in the LEM days. And yes, I remember that it took me this long to finish this many because I'd been working full time back then, thus having less time to devote to building models. Sometimes I would go months without getting to the hobby room while you had (and have) every day to build if you like. Your quality shows as well given the immense practice you've had and I bow to the Master there. I've learned a lot watching and following your work. Frankly the numbers don't really matter to me as well; I just have so many people asking what the latest count is that I keep count for them mostly. I am hoping things open up enough around here when I get to 800 armor that I can bring them to a Hobby Day and set them out for pics again. It's the only way I can look at my collection now without having to look through the sides of the tubs they're in! LOL!
I'm looking forward to your huge update OB; it's gonna make this look like small potatoes next to your quantity and quality.
Thanks again all for looking in.

Ang on Mark !.. 🤔
Most of the time I was on the ol' LEM, I was working for the man, working in and eventually running, a computer shop that specialised in building confusers for bods who wanted specific software, mainly running on Windoze NT 4 and later 2000. Cos I was clever enough, I got to build the things from the case up.. I was usually found behind a desk out the back, up to my armpits in the guts of a computer, connecting things up etc; that was usually an 8am to 6pm day, after which I'd go home, have dinner with my lovely blondie and go into the back room and build models til about midnight. Weekends were all mine to do as I wished with, unless other (family related - mine or hers) things were happening... I retired from managing that place (hard work had its rewards ! ) in 2002 and went on disability in 03, following an (amateur stage) fall off a 30 foot ladder (somebody walked into the ladder, whilst I was atop it, adjusting a spotlight on a lighting beam over the auditorium, hardest landing I ever made !) 😖 its only since 03 that I've been able to build whenever I liked (Blonde lovely permitting) and Having moved and recovered from same, I'm just starting to pick up the threads again
Regards OB

I remember your working on PC's all the time back then as well OB... you answered some computer questions for a few of us back then... I always knew I'd get good information from you!

Well then my memory is faulty, I guess that comes with getting old. However, even with all that; you still managed to finish 7 models for every one I completed. Therefore, anytime I mentioned how many I finished; you were always able to keep me humble by showcasing your collection's numbers. I am still behind, despite all the staying at home with nothing else to do. That is okay. I'm having fun, you're having fun and I'm staying humble from your large count.
Okay, time to get back to the workbench.....

[Concerned nerd mode=on) Wonder if its too much glue and paint fume inhalation whilst at the desk ? 🤓
If that's what's affecting your memory then maybe you ought to slow down and scale back on the paint and glue for a while ? 😗🎵🎶 (Concerned nerd mode=off) 😆
Regards OB of Wondering 😉
