They are FUN cars to drive. They would run forever. Problem was they were made with cheap steel and tend to rust, a lot!

No problem with your choice, Jim! I always wanted a '70 or '71 Z car. It was on my wish list before I got my driver's license. Naught wrong with that color, either!

My '77 let me go around the 8 cylinder cars (like 5.0 Mustangs) as long as we were in the twisties. If they had a good, long straight-away I was at a disadvantage. I'd catch them in the next group of corners though.

Not on the list but I had a Panther Pink 1970 340 T/A six pack back in 1977. Here it is with a young crazy ogre driving.

Nice car John. If I only had half the cars I did when I was young...sigh.

I don't think you can put a bad color on a Challenger! There was one locally about 30 years ago painted in a dark brown metallic, and it looked good.

I like the white ones with black stripes, hood, and guts. I really like white cars with red guts. I've never seen a white Challenger with red guts, but I'll bet it would be fantastic looking. Maybe with small red stripes down each side.

Well shucks. If I knew in 70 what I know today, I would have waited until the racing season was over and purchased a Porsche 917K or Ferrari 512S-----both of which were looked at as just used race cars and not worth much. Back then you could have picked up one running for about the same or less as one of those gaudy painted challengers sold for new. Seen what a 917 or 512 sells for today? Oh well, its always fun to think about what if?

I often reminisce about the autos I passed up, or tried to buy and couldn't. There were some real classics in that lot!!
