My beach build: At least 80% of the assembly was done at the RV park, in the trailer. Once home, I built up a few of the tiny bits, added tools straps and did the tow cable using the kit ends and a spare piece of wire. Kit headlight guards were thinned, same for the front step, and I used most of the kit figure, substituting arms by accident..... with all the time I have right now, I committed to building and painting figs for every open hatch I can find a fig for, and this guy got somebody else's arms by accident. Oops. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the kit decals: the yellow stripes were translucent against the very dark OD I used, so I had to add some color, but the next build of this kit will be in different markings. Oh yes, it was that much fun to build, I'll do more. I also hope Tamiya does the early M3 with the raised cupola and maybe an M3A1 too. It would be a snap, even a Honey...... I'm even thinking about looking for some of the Academy kits to get the different turrets, which would get me around the errors Academy made with their hulls.

Amazing work Rusty. It's great you can work on the fly, as they say. Good weathering also.

T'anks Y'all. It was a stretch Anthony, not even a little bit of the white stuff, unless you count the half dozen bolt heads I added on the turret MG mount. Next one though..... I'm cleared to drive, and I have store credit at King's, I'm out of a lot of "essential" supplies, and boy do I have ideas. Using this kit as a base, I can easily do a Honey, M3A1, earlier M3, M3 diesel, all using Academy and old Tamiya Stuart bits, and not have to deal with the goofs Academy made with the hull dimensions and suspension ride height. Oh boy.
