Cool item Joe!
It may just come in handy. I'm sure it works well on a circuit board. It would be nice to know how well it might do building a model.
Looks like it might work as a piece for a "rotisserie" in a garage diorama.

Time will tell, the gentleman using it had a video on farcebook but it wouldn't let me post it here... he used it to hold the body as he was painting the window trim of the body and the undercarriage parts without holding them... also decals for pinstripes, etc...
