Now that it looks like Testors is officially doing away with much of their enamel and acrylic Model Master line, MCW Finishes is announcing they we will be offering a complete line of enamel paints. These will come in 1/2 oz bottles and not be thinned. We are doing some testing right now and we should be on the market very soon. We will have automotive and military colors. We are testing right now for brush ability and coverage. We will have a full range of metallics and solid colors. More info and pricing to come soon. FYI. We are not getting rid of our lacquer paints just adding to the line. Comments are welcome. Thank you all for your business. Please feel free to share this post. mcwfinishes.com/

I look forward to seeing what their military colors actually look like. I've used Model Master for decades and stocked up on the two colors I use to mix Olive Drab and SCC 15, but they won't last forever. While I've successfully sprayed Tamiya acrylics, their color range isn't the most comprehensive and I've had wretched experiences with other brands of acrylics. And I hate having to use thinners & retarders to brush paint them for touch-ups or detail work.

I don't know that I ever used that brand, but if they are able to provide the same experience as Testor's did for a very similar price; I'll keep them in mind.

They have factory colors in lacquer that I used on my Mercury Comet and that big Cadillac I built last year... they are excellent paints!!!
