Working on the nose section, discovered that the resin cast needed some clean up, witch included re scribing seam lines, drilling out the 8 Browning 50 cal. gun ports and adapting a resin nose made for a Monogram Kit to fit an ICM Kit. Had to saw off, ream and sand it to fit in there. Luckily OZ's Workshop is equip with such tools and sundries.

Looks like the fit will be pretty good despite the resin being made for a different base kit. Both plastic manufacturers got the basic contours right if the fit is this close at this stage of the grafting operation. And the metal barrels will really be aces when you're done.

The resin nose with 8 50 Cal. Brownings, is solid, plus, can add washers, etc. epoxied to the back of it. The Bombs weigh allot also and there will be about 8 Tons of them on it.Don't forget the wing tip tanks and Napalm, filled with fuel. We are looking at about 40 Tons all together.

The squeaky wheel got oiled!

Drilled out the Rail bar holes for the carriers on the 1993 wing. May need to redo them, because the K Version has a different set up than the C.

That reminds me of a friend of mine who added pennies to the interiors of his 1/72 scale tanks to give them some heft. He joked with his daughters that their college funds were being sealed inside and they'd have to break them all open after he was gone.

Don't remember building any ICM kits in the past, but their directions leave a lot to be desired. Pieced together the internals on the cockpit, bomb bay and wheel well. Found out, I had to cut off more of the solid nose resin to cut down on clearances or lack of and filed down the upper and lower twin 50 gun turrets, which will need to be plated over for the K Version.
