As mentioned in the Latest Grabs Thread, I've been trying to obtain one of these for YEARS!! I didn't want to get a second mortgage for an unbuilt kit, and the nice built-ups were just about as pricey! This one cam along on eBay, and I was lucky enuff to be able to get it for a very decent price. Here it is: As you can see by the red arrow, a good bit of glue was used to attach the boot cover. Check out this divot! After a lot of careful work, I almost got it off without any damage: The other pieces came apart with very minimal damage: So, now I have some parts to work on: Stay tuned! I have some of the parts in the purple stuff, to get the old paint off.

After an overnight stay in the pond: The body came out pretty clean: The problem is, it feels mighty grainy. The purple paint was applied over a silver base, with no primer, so the plastic crazed. I'll need to do some sanding to get it smooth enough for a proper coat of primer. I'll do all that sanding before I fix the windshield frame.

The resin hood looks like it's gonna work. Might take just a little tweakin'!

These parts lost all that yucky gold color: It's getting close to time for me to get some more DupliColor gray primer!!

Pretty much. Some paint may take longer. Black paint takes longer in my hobby room, for some reason.
