Just curious as to what everyone is reading during this extra stay at home time? I'm glued to a very interesting historical book on the assassination attempts on Hitler... highly recommend it if you want to learn a bit more about that time and how the Nazi's came about. So what are you reading?

Looks like an interesting book Joe.
All those attempts failed only to see this demonic fool live out his last days in South America. Argentina, I believe it was, had a very large German community after WWII.

Not really reading anything myself. Too little time with so much else to do; despite almost constantly staying at home. I've not even had as much building time as I want.

That's an excellent book Jed, read it a while back! Read this many years ago,in the army certainly in our infantry certain books were read for one reason or another this was one of them. I don't have as many on my shelves now as I used to. Sven Hassle was another must read but I believe doubts have been thrown up about the basis upon which they rely on. Foreign Legion books were also on the list, one by Simon Murray was top of the list but I can't remember the title 😬

Almost finished with Edward Snowden's book Permanent Record. Very disturbing if he's telling the truth.

Just finished From Bare Feet to Running Shoes by Ernie Andrus...it's about a WWII LST Navy corpsman who had quite a life and decided when he was in his late 80s that he'd run from coast to coast...he's currently heading back the other way in his mid-90s I believe

I'm taking a short break from hardcore reading (except magazines and online stuff). I finished up reading 800+ pages of Frank Herbert's DUNE for the first time since 1978 in preparation for the [knock on wood] upcoming new movie this Fall.

Not a fun book series, but worth the detailed read, Gulag Archipelago. Now I do love reading my WWII History and Military Heritage mags too.
