No problem BUCKY! The AMC is a good looking car! I enjoyed reading about it! I happen to like American Motors cars.

That is cool. I always thought that Gremlin was a different looking car, like someone had chopped that back end off. My brother hated Gremlins, thinking they were the ugliest cars out there. I also owned an AMC Hornet once; it was blue and could not go in reverse. Parking was an interesting adventure as I had to park either facing uphill or pull through to the next spot opposite. My friend who sold it to me helped me try and fix the reverse, but it didn't last long. Hurricane Elena ended that issue when she wrapped my car around a telephone pole.

Sounds like that Hornet had quite an adventurous life!

I think the Gremlin is a cool little car. I am working on a street racer/drag version. I will post some pictures soon. Sorry about your Hornet.

Thanks Bucky and Mike. It was a good little car, but in a way, I'm glad she went out the way she did. Can't say why, I just do.
Sad thing is that was probably the coolest car I ever owned. I never got to own and of the classics you guys did!

I still have my Gremlin in the stash, I really should tackle it one of these days! On my Gremlin the front panel was wider than the fenders. I had to hold the fenders outward so that the front panel would fit. Also the front panel would not fit in the space at the end of each fender. I had to file the top and bottom of each space, then the front panel fit! Just wanted to let you know!

You are lucky! Hope you enjoy building yours. I enjoyed mine. I don’t see the front panel that holds the head lamps. That is the panel I am talking about. You too?
