I recently stumbled upon this situation, after reading some threads on the ProBoards Support forum.
It seems that after a membership has been deleted, whether the member did it, or the forum admin
did it, all the threads and posts the member created show up as being posted by the username
'Deleted'. To me, it makes it look like every post that has 'Deleted' as a username was made my the
same member, when we pretty well know that's not the case. Most of us long time members can
figure out who created the threads and posts, but some newer members may get confused by this.
Another way this can be confusing is if a member leaves and comes back. That member's old threads
and posts will still show up as 'Deleted', and his new stuff will be under his new username, even if it
is the same username.
ProBoards Support staff says it has to do with some kind of privacy law, and there is not much we
can do about it. I will go back through the old threads and delete the ones that have broken photo
links, or seem to be about just trivial stuff. If a thread seems to hold some good info, or could be
valuable for reference, I'll try to create a new thread and move it into that place.
I will keep looking in at the Support forum for any new progress on this matter.
Also, I noticed that I can't access posts that go back past some time in 2018. This forum was
created in 2011, so there are a lot of threads and posts that are not visible. I'll check into that and
see what's up. A lot of good modeling info could be lurking in those old threads and posts.
Thanks for helping make this a great place to hang out and share our hobbies!!
