I mentioned in my introduction that I collect airbrushes. I look for vintage, unique and unusual ones. These are a few of my "keeper" airbrushes.
In the rear left is a parts box of mostly Paasche H and HS parts. To the rear right is a Paasche H with an extra metal chrome handle. It chrome handle adds weight but also helps to balance it. This is an older H as it has the stipple knob in front of the trigger. Newer ones don't. I bought this H as I sold the Binks Wren I was using and needed a good single action to replace it. My old Wren has been dropped on it's nose so often it is no longer round. The H model's I can replace if that happens.
Center left are two Binks Wren's. The "gold" one is the first airbrush I bought (mentioned above). I bought it in the mid 70s. The silver one intrigued me as I had never seen one. I've looked for a Binks AB site to try to get info but I've been unsuccessful so far. I have two thoughts on it, neither of which may be right. The gold may have been stripped by a previous owner or it may have been a 25th (silver) anniversary edition?
Front left is a Paasche F. The F is a smaller/finer brush compared to the H. This one came with a number 2 needle/nozzle so it will spray a slightly thicker material than the number F1 N/N. It also has an old style cup that I have never seen with this type brush. I may try this out on smaller model pieces like auto interiors, to see if it works.
On the right is a Binks Raven2. The attachment shown are SOME parts for what they called the Chameleon. It was a pressure pot that you could change 8 different colors on (I think it was 8. Doesn't really matter). It was a very poor system. I am looking for a side feed color cup for it. If anyone has one LMK, maybe we can work something out. I'd take another Raven2 also, if it has at least one cup.
One other new addition. It is a Paasche VSR90#1 kit. It is more or less a gravity feed Model V, double action. The VSR has a gravity feed cup molded into the shell. This one has 3 different size cups. It came with the #1 needle/nozzle and the #2 needle/nozzle. I want to see how this sprays lacquer using the #2 set. The foam is missing from the case. I had purchased an H in this type case and the foam had begun to deteriorate. It freckled the finish on the H a little bit but this looks to have not sat in old foam that long. This brush appears to have never been used. I have some foam, just need to cut it to size.
