Well after being gone for a while I am finally back at it and building on a more regular basis. I have been building but just not as often as I would have liked especially since I was challenged by SWMBO to build my stash before I died. She doesn't think I can but the gauntlet was thrown down so I accepted the challenge.
A lot has happened to cause me to be away, the least of which was my oldest Daughter passing away back in late 2017. Some of you may know this but some may not. The reason for it hitting my modeling hard was because I used to text her all the time while I was modeling, and it seem strange to model and not be talking to her. As a matter of fact it hurt to model and not talk to her. I have since gotten past that and I have her Pic on my modeling desk so she will always be there in spirit.
Another thing that hit my posting of stuff was the lack of a decent computer. I tried to keep up with my cell phone but that was harder than I thought it would be especially for these old eyes, so I just kinda stopped. My apologies to all of you. Well for Christmas this year we finally got a better computer so I will be able to start posting what I have been working on for the past year, and I have been keeping busy. Again a challenge is a challenge.
Well bottom line is I'm back and hope to be posting more often and following and liking all the great models that are being built here. |

Rich you have been greatly missed. I am so sorry for your loss but I'm thrilled to see you back at the bench. Welcome back my friend; I think I'll join you on your quest to build the stash.

Just know that we are all here for you if you need an ear to bend. I'll certainly be following your build threads, so don't hesitate to overwork that new 'puter!! LoL

LoL Thank you one and all for the warm welcome back. Its been a long 2 years since my daughter passed, and it hit me harder than I realized. Like you Bucky she was my Step-daughter. I married into a ready made family as they say, and her own father was only there for her when he wanted something and then would disappear. She only started calling me daddy towards the last couple years, and it did my heart good to hear it, and when I had problems with her mom she was the first one I went to, and normally the only time I was by myself was when I modeled in my man cave. It wasn't till the funeral when I had 3 or 4 friends of my daughters come up to me and say "Oh your the one she referred to as daddy" that it really hit me and I faded away from modeling. I tried to get back into it but it hurt to much so I stepped away again but as I am sure you can tell I am in a better place now so here I am.
My apologies I didn't mean to ramble on there or bring the mood down. Just wanted you all to know a little bit of the story and to you Bucky, and all the other "step" parents out there, That just because you aren't the bio parent doesn't mean you cant make a difference in a child's life, or that their passing hurts any less.
