I'm heading out tomorrow for the IPMS Nationals in Chattanooga. I'm bringing my entire armor collection to the Nationals to show off on the display tables. I doubt I'll be able to log in and respond to anyone here before leaving so I'll see you all on the flip side. When I return, I'll post pics here. Take care and I'll see you in 20 days or so.

It's been at least a week since I returned, but I've been trying to get caught up with mail, e-mail, dishes, trash, laundry and house cleaning. Now I finally have a little time to post some of the many, many pics I took at the Chattanooga Nationals. It was THE Nationals to come to: There were 3113 entries in the contest, and 1658 individual models on the display only tables! What a blast I had!
Here's some of the pics I have from that Nationals here.
Okay. Ready or not, here they come.... I'll start with some overall shots here: This is one half of the contest/display room. Strangely enough, I did not get the other half. But you can see from just this half; how huge this room was: The display table are the ones in front; the contest tables were in the back positioned perpendicular to the display ones. Then the models, in no particular order. This one in particular I wanted to show as this is what I want to do with my Ratte P.1000 in 1/72 scale. I'll be able to carry more in mine: There were a lot of hilarious ones in the Humor category. Here's some of them: Read the sheet next to this. Explains everything.... Some clever Osprey eggs: I love that one 'nesting'! This is what happens when you use hot glue: This won "Best Humor": This one is hilarious! Mike put 40 different Redneck stereotypes on this Redneck Houseboat based on Jeff "You Might be a Redneck if..." comedian whose last name escapes me: Moving on, someone else built a 1/72 scale Dora too: Another great 1/72 scale rendition of a very famous photograph: Here's a great "What if?" with a Pancake flying over a modified Arizona class battleship: This was viewed through a window set up to give you the feeling that you were on board this watching it happen. Most impressive! Sailing ships were very well represented this year. Quite a few incredible masterpieces showed up! This was a Junior sailing ship made from the Revell snap-tite model kit. They were ten: Great fireboat. I've been wanting to build one of these:

Fabulous stuff! I particularly like that hit-the-beach window diorama, and that massive Planet Killer with poor USS Constellation and Commander Decker sailing to their doom. Fun fact: An AMT Enterprise kit was abused with a lighter and other indignities to be filmed for that special effects shot

Impressive show! Sure do wish I cudda made over there. Maybe next year? Were there any civilian type models displayed? There were hundreds, it was just hard to get pics of everything in any amount of time. I'll see what I have; there are a couple hundred pics I still have to upload. Also, the next one is in San Marcos Texas if you wish to go to the next one. I don't know that I'll make it to the San Marcos show myself; but the following one in Las Vegas is a given!
Beekster that is so cool to know about that filming.
Marco, you are welcome. It was an amazing show!
Thanks Joe! It was beyond great!
Tony, I wish you could have gone too. It would have been well worth it! I would love to meet you someday.
