Here's a tip if you haven't thought of it.
I take a bit of Future, put some in a small jar let it air out to a sticky paste and use it to attach clear parts such as canopies and windshields.
It has worked well for me.
Crystal clear of course.
Can be cleaned away with a bit of soapy water.
