darn. Carl and I have been through a lot of forums together. FSM, Model X (boy was that a fun site!) The LEM for a bit, Kenny Conklins many different sites and so many others. Back then he always went by Shellback. A fantastic modeler, proud Navy vet and good friend and he well be sorely missed. Sail on my brother!

It’s really sad news, Carl was a great modeller and a great guy all round. Always happy to help out and had a superb sense of humour.
My sincere condolences to his wife and family.

I saw this morning and it knocked me pretty hard. Been thinking about it all day. Very sad, Carl was a great guy. I'll miss him a lot.

Wow, I miss him. I remember him from many other Forums too, as John said. I think I first met him at the LEM and followed him to several other boards. What an incredible modeler and incredible man.

Gee I go away for a couple days and this happens. Carl you will be missed. I remember you from the LEM as well. As has been said, you are a great guy and your advice was invaluable. RIP my Friend.
