Brilliant job!! I love that suitcase on top! Thanks. I was gonna try and find a place to hang a bicycle, but this thing's too small. I just wanted something obviously not military, even "pilfered".

No dedicated TD decals were found by me after a couple of hours of searching, so I cobbled up enough to get the look I wanted. It's "a different tank from the same unit pictured in the book".... IMG_3665 by Russel Baer, on Flickr IMG_3664 by Russel Baer, on Flickr And while I was there, I thinned the idler rims done to something close to scale, and added the missing lightening holes to the inner parts of the drive sprockets and idlers. IMG_3663 by Russel Baer, on Flickr I need to check the decals for any silvering, then it's time for another clear coat and weathering.

Lightening Holes?? They had lightening holes?? Yeah, you know, holes for the lightning to go through...... And yup, I'm sure it used a little less fuel. Yeah, yeah....
I was gonna type "mud relief holes" but that sounded risque. But seriously folks, especially you car guys, reducing unnecessary weight was one of the reasons the Hellcat was so fast. And (are you ready for this?) lighter /rotating components will accelerate faster, like a lightened flywheel, alloy wheels vs. steel, uh, lightweight alloy pulleys for accessory drives. I could go on, but I'll be normal. Oh, but wait, there's more: lighter wheels and control arms (unsprung weight) makes for a better ride! Not actually applicable here, but I'm going on when I said I wouldn't.

We're just funning with ya a little bit. LOL The same principals are used in drag racing. A lot of racers cut holes in the frames of their cars, and used plexiglass windows, and aluminum bumpers, etc.
