Catchin' up, got the stowage 99% done, just have to add a couple of buckles and tidy up some straps. I made some, used some resin stuff and even a few Academy pieces off the accessory sprue they throw in all their US armor kits. Stowage looks fantastic! Nice use of epoxy putty to fair in the plastic pieces and give a sense of mass to the whole. It will look great when painted.

List of TD battalions equipped with M18s:
602, 603, 609, 612, 633, 637, 638, 643, 656, 661, 670 (Hawaii), 671 (PTO), 704, 705, 801, 805, 807, 809, 811, 817, 820, 822, 824, 827 (Colored). That last unit was one of four Colored TD battalions; the other three were disbanded in 1943. The 827th had the misfortune of being led exclusively by Southern white officers who hated their assignment and the men they were charged to lead. The unit was sent overseas to the ETO before it had completed training, naturally performed poorly in combat, and was disbanded in-theater prior to V-E Day. Lots of units to choose from!

I'm thinking one of the units that used the white flashes on the rear hull sides, and I think I have something like that in the stash..... |
