Fantastic, Mike! How was it, having an outdoor event? I attended one outdoor model contest in the year 2000, and was lucky enuff to grab a best of show honor! Thank you BUCKY! It rained all day Friday, Friday night, and was raining Saturday morning when we left Washington Terrace, Utah. It stopped about half way to Orem, Utah. So it was wet, a bit chilly, and mostly cloudy all day. That didn’t stop us from having a great time! We were busy talking to people all day! The full scale car lovers seem to appreciate the work we put into our scale model cars! They just love cars, large and small! Also, congratulations on your best of show honor!

Thanks, Mike! The contest was called Heat Wave 2000, and it lived up to its name! It was held in August. LOL

Mike, that is pretty awesome. Reminds me of a time I displayed some of my models outside at a local airshow. Our club had a booth so I brought some aircraft models to show, including two C-130's in 1/72 scale. Near the end of the day the wind had picked up and as we were packing, one C-130 became airborne and did fly about five feet before making a very rough landing. Fortunately, I built it pretty rugged so very few parts came off and all were recovered to be repaired later.
I'm glad yours was more successful and that everyone loved your models. Well done on being such a great ambassador of the hobby.

Yeah, I did. Imagine how thrilled I was that the model survived so well, given how far it flew.

Thank you all very much! Glad you liked our car show! I would have been a little concerned if we had enough wind to move our cars! The most we had was a slight breeze. It was a great day!
