So, here's a funny regarding my hernia and testicular cysts I mentioned in an earlier post. (Roger's Updates)

I was helping at our youth GLOW (Go Light Our World--teen worship with black lights) on Friday and caught up with a young man I serve with at our Kid's Camp every year. We'll call him Joe, because his name is...well...Joe:

Joe: How are ya man? You doin' Kid's camp this year?

Me: Yeah, I'll be there. May be recovering from surgery, but will be there in some capacity

Joe: Isn't that the 3rd year in a row for surgery?

Me: Yeah! This year it's hernia.

Joe: Well, at least it's just that.

Me: You got it. It could have been worse, I found 2 lumps when I was doing a self-exam...and my symptoms were a lot like testicular cancer.

...pause...

Joe: You mean you have lumps on your balls?

Me: Yeah

Joe: So, you mean your balls are BIGGER?

Me: Yeah

...pause...

Joe: Dude!! THAT'S AWESOME!!!!

Me: Um...Having your balls get bigger when you're 5 is great, but when you're almost 45, it's not a good thing man.

Joe: Really? Why?

Me: Well, for one thing, as you age, they are supposed to get smaller...

Joe: Ok, that makes sense. What's the other reason?

Me: Well...Do you really want something getting bigger that's hanging down to your knees--getting knocked around when you run?

Joe: (Goes pale...chokes on tongue laughing) Um...I guess not...but...can't you just pin them up somehow?
