Never modeled one of these before since they were the biggest piece of junk the Krauts ever fielded but at the time it was the only thing that was remotely interesting at the LHS. I have depicted the vehicle in one of the usual states they ended up in
With a bigger engine and better alloys these vehicles may have been much more effective but at the time German industry was not up to the standards necessary. May have had something to do with those pesky 1,000 aircraft at a time bomber raids. Otto Carius commanded one of these and his depiction of them in his book "Tigers in the mud" was less than complimentary.
There is, by the way, no historical accuracy to be had in this diorama. Hull number 114 ended up in a much different state.

Sure looks like you got it well depicted in it's usual state. Those things were a complete waste of steel and money. Cool looking though.

Wonderful job! What did happen to #114? These things were so rare that interested parties track their history like capital ships, it seems.

Thanks gents
Welcome back Beek
Hull 114 was commanded by one Leutnant Hans Knippenberg and was abandoned in the town of Eppingen due to final drive breakdown that could not be fixed under the circumstances. It ended up being cut up for scrap in place over the summer of 1945.
