Thanks, Jed! First try with the gel pen, and I'm impressed with it. I may get some different colors of those.

I may have enuff pieces to build at least three of these things. Each of these kits have various parts missing. The black one in the pic is actually a later model 280ZX. I can use some of the parts for another project I have in mind that requires some plastic surgery!

The parts in these kits look pretty sharp. Hopefully, there won't be too many fit issues.

If I remember right mine went right together without any issues!!! I wasn't into scratching back then, simply out of box builds...

These seats spent a few days in the Super Clean: They were flat black, and it took some scrubbing to get them this clean.

I'm thinking of going with a brown color, along with black trim.

Got a little painting done: I masked the chrome strip with pinstriping tape. I used the Molotow pen on the chrome strips. They show up better than the pic shows. Interior floor pan, rear cargo area, and engine bay: I know the engine bay should be body color, but since this one came to me with the body already painted, I didn't think I would be able to match the red, so I used black. I painted and assembled the suspensions and attached them to the chassis: Working on the engine, now...........................................................................................

During disassembly, the locator pins for the carbs broke off. I drilled and pinned the intake in order to have a positive locating point for the carbs:
