Okay, gang! I’m getting ready to deep dive on 7 different BTTF De Lorean kits. But I’ve never done a brushed stainless finish. So for the first time in a long time, I’m scared to put paint down. I need advice, ideas, paint suggestions. Pleas help me get these things out of my kit hoard so I can replace them with other stuff.

Cool project... I have not done a brushed stainless either, but here is a cool video showing how another person did it.

A good tip is to always test on some scrap plastic, such as left over sprue, or use some white plastic spoons. A good way NOT to mess up important model kit parts!

Yeah, I have so many paint mules (probably more than I need.) My wife is always trying to throw them out, it’s all funny until she actually does throw something out.

Red won't touch my models or bench... I trained her good after she tried to dust one when we first got married and ripped parts off...

No, this stupid snow is delaying everything. It was supposed to be delivered on the 22nd according to FedEx, now they’re saying they’re delayed due to weather.

Shipping has been a bit "iffy" this winter. There was an Amazon jet that crashed in the bay in Texas! I wonder what kinda stuff perished in that crash? I also wonder if any 18 wheelers fouled up on the highways, due to slippery roads. I've seen some UPS and Fedex trucks in the past that didn't hardly reach their destinations!!

The weather is one thing we probably don't take into account when ordrpering stuff, certainly not here in the UK!

I think about it in the winter for time of delivery and freezing liquids... in the summer I think about extreme heat and melting plastic, ha, ha!!! So either way I am watching to make sure the package gets in the house as soon as possible, ha, ha!!! Luckily my bride gets the ones from the Post Office before they sit outside so I only have to worry if its FedEx of UPS...

This is another of the reasons I'd rather pay a little extra at a Hobby Shop to grab and go. I understand that is not possible with many people who have no Hobby Shops, but I sure enjoy the luxury.

Nope 80+ miles one way is a bit far to go grab a jar of paint or a bit of glue... unless you have lots of other things to do there...

Which is why I posted the disclaimer: "I understand that is not possible with many people who have no Hobby Shops".
Having one so far away is a gross inconvenience, but getting together with friends to go shopping there once in a awhile does make it an extra special visit too.
