So while the paint on the Magach 5 is drying, I started digging around in the parts ;boxes, thinking a T-34 might be fun. I found enough Tamiya parts do do a complete 1943-ish T-34/76, one of those stamped turrets in resin from a defunct English company, and a set of Friuls. I figured out pretty quickly that the turret wasn't in gray resin, someone had shot it with gray primer, after sanding too much off of the top half, probably trying to fit the tow pieces together. So out came the Aves putty and gel super glue.... I also am doing a little extra work on the hull, just for fun. More pics later!

Too much fun.... Pics to follow are of the turret with a lot of Squadron green stuff, the hull with some springs visible through the slots for the that Tamiya neglected to add, and the lower hull, showing the area I boxed in for the cooling louvers. So s little more today, mostly filling holes I don't need, and adding some small bits to the hull and turret. Some of the PE is really handy, adds a lot to the Tamiya kit, namely the engine vent cover and all the tie downs on the hull side. All the hand rails are from .020" wire, easy to form. I'm also pirating parts from the box of left over KV bits, like the turret periscope and the front tool box.
