Does any one have recommendations for vendors who will print custom decals, perhaps willing to do some modest graphics work to help me create them? I'm wanting to create logos for a fictional timber outfit to adorn my Madill 071 yarder and the M911/M747 that will carry it. While I haven't settled on a name, something like "Beaver Timber" done in an arc above and below an image of a beaver wielding an ax or chainsaw is what I have in mind. I don't have the skills or software to design such a thing. I would want the whole thing to print out at no more than 3/4" wide and 15/32" tall, to fit on the doors of the M911 cab. Given that size constraint, perhaps text only will be possible. Since a bunch would fit on a small decal sheet, and I would only need half a dozen, I would also want to add some simple text reading "GVWR 120,000" for the truck. The scale is 1/35, if that helps. I understand there are outfits that make custom license plates for you car modeling gents, might one of those be a place to start? I'll need a couple of civvie plates for the prime mover, too. Any suggestions appreciated.

They make decal paper and with a good printer, you can use and reduce photos to fit scale, then coat with a clear transfer solution.

I have used this before with great results.... they have it for laser jet of ink jet printers... check out their full array of decal items... Make sure and get the fixative spray to seal the ink to the decal before you dip them in water though... I try to come up with enough ideas for decals to print a whole page at a time and not waste any... you just save them till you need em!!! www.micromark.com/INKJET-DECAL-TRY-IT-PACK
