This is next on the bench and much more like a kit should be, engine, seperate chassis, suspension etc, loads of bits and a pleasure to build very well detailed and the parts are clean and crisp, looking at the rear end of this car it's very much like the rear of the UK ford Zephyr/zodiac Mk2, (could have had one of those for £5 way back!!!, wish i had it now)

I'm doing this more or less box, the paints proveing to be a right sod! try'd for the gold/orange box art look but that didn't work out so i went over it with some vitrea shimmer bright orange, that was today so tomorrow a couple coats of clear and a few days drying off ready for the bmf, chassis and engine about done, i had to have a go at makeing my own distributor as the plase i got my last prewired one is still out of stock, ahah! "model cars!! we have it all! (thats their slogan, in fact they got f##k all and aint had for near a year) couldnt find ant other suppliers here in the uk (as bloody useual) so it was a bit of alloy tube and some leftover bits of lead from the last prewired and a dab of thick black simi-gloss on top opened up the side/indicators for some lights googled up some images of the 57 engine mainly due to wondering where the spark plugs where ;D looks like they are in the center of the rocker covers and on a real one their in a caseing but i like the look of em like i've done them, feel free to disagree tho

Popeye, It is funny you should mention the UK Zepher. They look nothing like ours but they are kinda neat. I was wondering if there are model kits of these? I was looking online a few nights ago and came across one in dark green with Cragar mags on it. Would love to build this little machine.
Your chrysler is looking good. Can't say as I know for sure where the wires were. But I know from the 60's to today the only plug wires that were mounted center like that are hemi's, well with Mopars anyway. But I bet that this engine was moutned the same way, kinda like an old flathead engine. Either way right or wrong, it's right for yours. Sweet......
Very nice and I can not wait to see this thing finished up.

Thanks HH, yeah the zephyer/zodiac (UK Ford models dateing around 1960) have near identical tails to this 300C, obviously much UK styling was a copy of American design's or at least some aspects of it, these "Fords and Vauxhall's were the nearest you could get to owning a "Yank" looker, both were very nice cars and came with a straight six engine, (i think some basic models had a four cylinder tho, not sure) my old "Velox" had a 2262cc straight six, 3 speed manual shift on the columb and a lovely bench seat which i made a fair bit of use of good cars but a bad rep for rusting out in no time flat,

I think airfix did some but they were small scale, only other similar i seen were resin body's, the 300 lookalike was a MK111 zodi or zephyr, i've been looking for ages for 1/25 plastic kit but dont think there ever was one,

"WARNING" USE EYE PROTECTION!! ;D got the tub done! wot do ya think? a tad "OTT" on the Zebra stripes? the black is flock as is the orange seats bits and the carpet, i did try white flock but the flat white paint run into the balck flock so i left it, i had already painted the seats white all over, going to have to have some practice at dual color flocking, just got a glue pen so we'll see how we get on, last coat of clear on the body so i have to be patient and give it a few days drying time before messing with it, actually thought i'd stuffed it due to that crap "plasti-kote" krystal clear, i shook the bejeez out the can and it still spurts and gives an uneven spray, last time i use the $hoit, i'll get a proper auto can next time, still it seems to have dried pretty even,
