Great Caddy, Jerry! The interior colors are perfect for the yellow on this one!
Question....does a fifty-nine Cadillac qualify as a boat build? They certainly are as big as a barge!! LOL

That's awesome, Jerry. What did you use for chrome on the body and windshield moldings?

I'm guessing he had the chrome stickers I have for the bigger molding strips on the body and silver paint for the rest...

"Question....does a fifty-nine Cadillac qualify as a boat build? They certainly are as big as a barge!!" Bucky, they were Land Yachts for sure! Wish I still had mine today!
"What did you use for chrome on the body and windshield moldings?" Jeff, the windshield frame is chrome in the convertible kit, the rest I did with BMF, (Bare metal Foil ). I did have the chrome stickers, but they felt heavy and bulky to me and I didn't think they would conform to the surface curves as well as the BMF does.
Jcon, no silver paint anywhere on this one, all done with BMF, including the interior.
Ben, sorry, but, I do recommend these Caddies, they are big, just like the real deal.
Thank you all for your comments. Jerry

I might join in that friendly build off with the one that is currently, (has been for some years) in progress. This one is a model of the one I once owned. Is there a time limit? if so what year?

That's the route I'm gong to go with my build.

No problem Jeff, glad I could help.
There is a screw-up on these cars,( both the convertible and hardtop). Lets see who catches it. Don't look at mine 'cause I didn't catch it til years after I built it. No, I'm not telling either!

You mean the lack of painting the headlight bezels the body color? The originals were all painted but there are a few restorations out there where they were chromed like the kit shows...

You're kinda right, but the bezels were always chrome, the model has more than the bezel plated.
