Time to start another one and take a short break from cars/trucks. My first model in 30 years was another super hornet. 3 months later this was given to me and is my perfect car rest!

Thanks for the interest in this. Last night I got the intakes installed. They are painted, decaled, assembled and mounted in the fuselage. I'll get you some pics tonight. Am going to have to spend a few bucks to get some filler putty I think.

I do like the instructions on this model a little better than the previous one. I tried painting everything before assembly the last time, and it caused some assembly issues especially with the fuselage and landing gear doors. This one tells you to wait until assembly to paint. Also, having done nearly the exact model just 8 months ago, I will be able to correct issues that I had with that one!

I originally was going to paint this one up as a Navy trainer (with the the decals from the previous model) to go with the Marine 2-seat trainer. However, after looking over the package and decals a little closer, I'm going to stick with the decals and paint scheme that's in the box. It will better match the F-16 and while I like the other Super Hornet, I like the color scheme and theme of the F-16 better.
