Hurricane Michael is headed for the Florida panhandle. Tracking says it will hit around Panama City Beach. Our brother member RLFoster lives in Pensacola, not too far from PCB. I'm asking everyone to keep Robert in your thoughts during this time, as well as everybody affected by this storm. If any other members are in the path of Michael, let us know, and we'll add you to the list. Stay safe, everybody!!

Thanks Bucky, but we're fine. The maximum winds here are forecast to only be around 35mph. In fact, the NWS just dropped our Hurricane Warning (still have a T.S. Warning). However, at Cat 4, I'm really worried about the folks down in Panama City and points east. This could be a very bad one!
Mark (Dukemaddog) has family down that way and I sincerely hope they have all either evacuated or are in a safe place.
All the best to everyone.

I have family there as Robert said. My sister Teresa lives in Fort Walton Beach. My mother, sister Grace, and nephew Patrick live in Pensacola and Navarre. Teresa will get a lot of the bad stuff, but they are still on the western side of the storm which is good.
As of my posting, Michael is some 35 miles inland and so the worst is over for family in Pensacola/Navarre. We'll see how things went in points east.
I've been praying for my mother, sisters and nephew as well as Robert, and based on Robert's post, it looks like prayers have been answered. I am continuing to pray for all affected down there in what I still consider home.

Well, Michael is long gone, and I'm thrilled to say that my family made it through with flying colors. Fortunately, they were on the west side of the storm which wasn't as severe as the east side. My sister Teresa made it though as well, in Fort Walton Beach where she lives. y prayers are continuing for the victims of the storm, as well as the people still dealing with the extra flooding.

A former co-worker always went to Mexico Beach, or Port St. Joe. Both places were hit hard. He will be going elsewhere for a while, I'd say.
